Our Standards

First Baptist Cleburne Preschool operates under the standards of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services for Licensed Childcare Center. Our staff follows high standards of care and education:

A Relevant Teaching Approach
Each year, teachers and directors undergo 24 hours training related to the ongoing changes in early childhood development.

Safety
All staff is trained in CPR and First-Aid. An AED machine is also located near the First Baptist Cleburne Preschool office in the event of an emergency.

Our Curriculum

First Baptist Cleburne Preschool utilizes the WEE Learn curriculum, which has been thoughtfully designed to engage young minds and provide age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences. Our curriculum focuses on:

Early Academic Skills

In Math, Science, and Writing, children participate in hands-on activities and receive age-appropriate lessons focued on literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking to prepare them for kindergarten success.

Skills: Labeling, classifying, comparing, weighing, measuring, counting, sorting, matching, measuring, and comparing.

Creative Expression

Art, Music, and movement activities encourage imagination and build fine motor skills.

Skills: Timing, rhythm, patterns, self-expression, imagination, hand-eye coordination, and the cause & effect of different properties of materials.

Biblical Truths

Weekly Bible stories, scripture memorization, and chapel time teach children about God's love and character.

Skills: Discovering God, building character, trusting in God, and memorizing God's Word.

Social Development

In Home Living, Group Time, and Playground time, children participate in group play, team activities, and guided lessons that promote cooperation, respect, and kindness.

Skills: Timing, rhythm, patterns, self-expression, imagination, hand-eye coordination, and the cause & effect of different properties of materials.

Physical Development

Outdoor play, Manipulatives, Blocks, Sand & Water Play, and movement-based learning develops motor skills and encourages healthy habits.

Skills: Timing, rhythm, patterns, self-expression, imagination, hand-eye coordination, and the cause & effect of different properties of materials.

Life Skills

Through Cooking, Home Living, and Library time, children receive age-appropriate guidance as they develop the real skills they'll need to succeed in everyday life.

Skills: Discovering God, building character, trusting in God, and memorizing God's Word.
