Volunteer Opportunities

First Baptist Cleburne relies on its member-volunteers to make everything run smoothly. Anyone wishing to volunteer with babies through children age 18 must be a church member for at least 6 months and pass a criminal background check.

Here are a few ways you can volunteer and who you can contact for more information:

  • Greeting & Ushering on Sunday mornings – Our greeters welcome everyone at each door. Our ushers help people find a seat in our Worship Center.
  • Jail Ministry – This ministry works with the ladies at the Johnson County Correctional Center in Cleburne by teaching classes and writing letters to women in Texas prisons.
  • Soup Ministry – This ministry prepares soup to take to our members who are sick or recovering from medical procedures.
  • Weekday Preschool Connection – This ministry provides monthly breakfasts and lunches, connects church families with Weekday Preschool parents and unchurched families, and offers support for Preschool teachers.
  • Ministry to the Dying – This ministry helps families who are facing the final days with their loved one.
